Installation Instructions
- Safety First: Before beginning installation, make sure the firearm is completely unloaded, the chamber is empty, and the safety is engaged. Remove the magazine, visually and physically inspect the chamber to confirm it is empty, and point the firearm in a safe direction at all times.
⚠️ Important Installation Warning
This roll pin is designed to fit the G36 stock hinge. Because of dimensional variations between genuine HK hinges and those from various clone manufacturers, the pin may fit very tightly in some instances — and in rare cases, excessively tight.
Do not force the pin in with hard strikes if it feels excessively tight. Doing so can cause damage to the polymer stock/brace, the firearm, or deform the pin itself.
Recommended Adjustment Method:
If the pin is too tight:
- Place the pin in a vice (or similar clamping tool) with soft jaws or protective padding.
- Gently close the vice to slightly compress the pin.
- Remove the pin and test the fit.
- Repeat this process in small increments until you achieve the desired fit.
This simple adjustment allows the pin to seat properly without risk of damage.
Pro Tip: Always use a proper roll pin punch during final installation. 3/16" works best of the most readily available options.
