Bren 2 Adapter for MAGPUL Zhukov Stock

The machining and quality seem to be very good. I would love it if there was a YouTube video showing how to remove the original adapter base off of the stock and reinstall onto the Adapter. I appreciate the comments here on how to remove/install but I am a novice at doing this. Thanks.

Well machined hinge block. Please send instructions will the product! You will need to use a 3/16" drill bit to remove the flare on the underside of the zhukov stock to remove it from the original Magpul hinge block... pretty easy... then capture the two detents and spring and insert them into as a whole unit into the Dan Haga block.

I just installed this adapter on a Zhukov-S stock and my Bren 2 SBR. It's rock solid with no wobble. I love it. The only improvement I would like is for it to have a push button quick release like the factory CZ adapter. That would make disassembly easier and not require any tools. To install the new adapter on a Zhukov stock yourself (better to buy both from Dan so he can do it :) Tools: 1/8" steel punch w/ flat end - 2" long 1/8" steel punch w/ tapered end suitable hammer One end of the factory pin has a recess with flared sides to keep the pin in place. Lay the factory adapter on a flat surface (not in a vice clamp) and use the 2" long 1/8" punch on the inside of the flared end of the pin. You will need to hit it fairly HARD to overcome the resistance of the flared end. After you get the factory pin out make sure to even out the taper of the flared end so that it can be reinserted smoothly into the new adapter. Assemble the new adapter to the factory stock and make sure to retain the factory folding lock pins and internal spring. Tap the factory hinge pin into the new adapter/stock from the larger of the two openings in the new adapter. Finally, flare the factory hinge pin back out with a graduated punch to keep it in place. Hope this helps.

Let me tell you guys I’m very please with the fit and finish of the adapter. Very tight tolerances (No wobble). I purchased the adapter, Zhukov stock, cheek riser and Tailhook. You know what’s the best part...All parts came assembled and ready rock. Plug and play! Thank you Dan! Regards, Adiel

Fit and finish are great. Took a little research to figure out the install (see other review for lack of included instructions). The only other issue is the loss of the QD system with the factory adapter, since this one is secured with a screw. It does, however, tighten up the overall fit of the weapon, and eliminates any play or looseness that the factory adapter had. Worthwhile purchase. If the ACR adapter comes back in stock, I'd probably go after that one too.

adapter looks great....but no instructions at all on how to get the pin out on the zhukov stock, or for the rest of the install
