ACR Stock (Coyote Brown)

With the discontinuation of the ACR stock the black stocks have become impossible to find and will likely remain that way. These "Coyote Brown" stocks may be the last of the ACR stocks that you will be able to find.

If considering a Coyote Brown stock here are some things to note:
  • These are the same as the black stocks and will fit all Haga Defense ACR adapters
  • Coyote Brown is NOT FDE
  • Coyote Brown stocks can easily be dyed black
  • While new these are older inventory and were made before the worn out molds began affecting the product. Meaning these stocks function better and extend/collapse MUCH easier than the newer black stocks.
Details below.
Coyote Brown is NOT FDE
If you are wanting to pair this stock with firearms colored in FDE know that it will not match. Pictured below is a Coyote Brown stock beside some Magpul FDE colored products for comparison.
Coyote Brown stocks can easily be dyed black
Using RIT DyeMore (graphite color) the brown stocks can be easily dyed black with these steps.
  • Disassemble and clean/degrease brown parts. The buttons do not need to be removed.
  • Place the cleaned parts in an old pot you don't mind staining black.
  • Add enough water to cover the parts then add the entire bottle of dye.
  • Heat the mixture to about 190 degrees.
  • Hold 190 degrees for about 20 minutes and stir/flip parts often.
  • Once the dye has cooled fish out your parts, rinse them off and reassemble.

I have tested this process against wear and months of weather exposure. After initial dye you cannot tell the difference between a dyed brown stock and a black one. After months of UV exposure a slight fading may be noticeable. Overall I have found the dye process and results very impressive and recommend this method if you cannot find a black one.
